Hello Folks,
My PRADO RX 3.0L Diesel will arrive next week. I'm hoping to do a filter & fluid change. Is there an FAQ for Part Numbers for fuel, oil air and glow plugs? I will need to install a trailer Receiver Hitch and I believe this sits on 4Runner Chassis. Am I correct?

Also, has anyone attempted to install a Cruise Control Upgrade?

Thanks very much!

Genuine Toyota Oil Filter - 90915-30002
Genuine Toyota Air Filter - 17801-67030
Genuine Toyota Fuel Filter - 23390-YZZAB
Genuine Toyota Glow Plug Relay - 28610-54360
Genuine Toyota Glow Plugs - 19850-67030

I have had total success ordering parts from https://partsouq.com

Others are fine but shipping speed has been inconsistent.
The Gen 3 4Runner hitch fits. I found a used Toyota factory hitch that I needed to cut away a bit of metal so the fuel tank skid plate fit over it but all the holes matched up perfectly.
As for cruise control, I have been hunting that white whale for a while. If you find something please share.

Welcome and post up your progress.

thanks for the infor,
how often "Genuine Toyota Glow Plug Relay" this breaks down?
my Prado is on the way to Vancouver port, trying to get some parts, wondering if it's worth to add the relay on the shopping list for backup?, thanks

Perhaps aftermarket cruise control is an option, unless you can find all needed parts from a breaker outside of the US? See below, seems an important component is NLA:

Thanks very much guys for the part #'s and CC info. The only other immediate mode I need to research is a block heater for these cold NH winters. My experience is that the addition of a block heater to a diesel engine adds countless years to the life of the engine. I would imagine there is a available freeze plug to add one???
I'll keep you updated on my progress.

I installed a Webasto liquid top to heat the engine.

The aussie forum claims the 95 series just needs the stalks added for cc as the ECU handles it but I haven’t found where anyone has actually done it so I don’t believe it.

Any idea on the stalk part number? Also wonder if the plug is in my steering column.

I do not

Nor does anyone that says it can be done it seems

I find it interesting all the aftermarket kits for the Prado are 99+

Mine is a 97. I don’t know what, if anything, changed in 99

If you figure it out please report back. I think your best source of info is Prado point. The aussies seem to have these things pretty well figured out.

Ok. So I've been researching this as cruise control is very important to me.

According to Prado Point all that is needed is the switch stalk: 90 series cruise control - Toyota Prado How To's, Technical Information & Reviews - https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/-90-series-discussion-only/general-90-series/32096-90-series-cruise-control
It really is already built into the ECU.

As for parts, if you are patient you can get it for ~$6 from Alibaba: Cruise Control Switch Kit For Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2011-2016 84632-34017 84632-34011 Steering Wheel Cover 45186-0G030-E0 - AliExpress 34 - https://www.aliexpress.com/i/3256802924837329.html?gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt
Or for ~$50 from Amazon: Amazon.com - https://www.amazon.com/TERPON-84632-34011-8463234011-45186-06210-C0-Steering/dp/B0CSVL92BM

I still can't find part numbers to be sure that the plugs and mounts will work. Looking for more information, but wanted to share what I'd found so far.

I've ordered some parts to try. I couldn't find any pictures of 90 series steering column with the wheel removed to verify the plug type being used. From what I could find, there are two possibilities. I'll know more in the not too distant future.

What'd you end up finding out here?

Hi,

I have been able to install CC on my 2001 Diesel Prado (Europe). Almost all of my info was found on this forum:

I assume it would also work on pre 2000 models but I am not certain.
