well as it states ice up lol just got back from a trip and found a interesting/pain with our cruis control . When driving in cold snowy temps you get slush/ice/snow build up on the sensor and you can't use your speed control at all:) going to try rain x see if that helps. Also in a heavy rain storm you loose cruise control as well.

Oh man, I've been there more times than I can count. If it makes you feel any better:
1) not just ice and snow--dirt and dust will also cause the problem.
2) very easy to fix, just clean off the logo and area around it and you'll be set.
3) regular cruise control still works
4) also happens on my 2015 Lexus RC-F; there appears to be no real way for Toyota to engineer around this problem.

It was alarming to me when it first happened, but then I began to expect it depending on my driving conditions.

I have optiglass coating on my emblem and it still collects ice/snow and mud/grime. Toyota shoulda put a middle squirter between the headlights, lol

Honestly thats what I was thinking too. I don't NEED a headlight washer button but I sure could use a way to clear off the adaptive cruise sensor...

Well, if it's snowing/raining that bad you probably shouldn't be in cruise control ;)

I just use regular cruise control and forget about PCS. Doesn't matter how much ice/snow/dirt/whatever obscures the sensor.

I bet a little spray nozzle and a small support bracket wouldn't be difficult to rig up just below the sensor. Splice into your headlight washer line. If you wanted to Macgyver it

It alarms even if it's not being used. I get it with extremely heavy rain.

I'm making one in cad meow:) going to print it off see how it works . I was already planing on taping into the head washer sprays already great idea!

I've read somewhere it's not a good idea to use cruise control during icy snowy weather anyway... Cruise doesn't take into account that you may be slipping out of control... It just wants to keep you at that speed.. So I never use cruise in bad weather anyway... Just my opinion

Well yes I agree 100% but after your drive through or in and out of a snow storm you would use it when it's safe. I just drove to and from Kalispell to Vegas and back .

So, it's just the adaptive cruise that breaks when you do this?

Correct. Turn on cruise control, hold stalk forward for a couple of seconds to disengage "radar" and use regular cruise control without any of the "adaptive" features.

I've had the cruise control radar ice up on me like that once. But it was snowy enough that I wasn't running on cruise control anyways...

Thank you. Not only is it dangerous for you and your loved ones onboard but for other drivers.

Pull over and clean the emblem and you're good to go
