i want to make a wallet card for my lexus and i thought to make one for the land cruiser key too.
does anyone know how these work or what i can buy from toyota exactly? i did not have any luck trying to find this stuff when i first did it.
this is a lexus key but it is not keyed to my vehicle. can i buy this same key as a blank and get it cut and put it in this wallet key holder? yes? no?
is there a wallet key card for the land cruiser? is there a key for the land cruiser that can be used in a wallet key card?
any intel would be welcome. part numbers would also be great if anyone has them.
THANKS

Am I missing something..... What is the point of a wallet key?

Did you call 1-800-25-LEXUS?
yeah. i went to the local lexus dealer. i was ordering the full size master and they kept bringing in the valet size key. and we went back and forth like three times.
i was hoping to do some research on it before doing this again o the wallet key with them.
so you have one of these for the toyota or the lexus?!

Just put this in your wallet. No need to get all fancy Lexus like.

yeah. i was hoping to find that too.
i assume they don’t make that for the lexus?
but also, is there a wallet card for the toyota like the one shown for the lexus i guess is what i am asking.

Hmmmmm, I have never had my wallet with me when I have locked my keys in a vehicle. But I have only done that twice, both times were hunting, camping, or hiking and I also left the wallet in the car.

If you're making one, just use the metal key listed above by LC4. They're widely available. I don't think there's a wallet key version for the LX450, at least that I've seen.

I use a magnetic key holder inside the bumper.

jeez. it’s a bit confusing.

LC4 posted the flat blank for the toyota. apparently there is no wallet card for the toyota. so i think i will make one for this key.

on the lexus apparently you can buy the wallet card holder. and you can buy the wallet key blank. so i will have to check this. if it is not available i am going to make something for the LX450 too.

constructive suggestions on getting this done are very welcome here.

It looks like, from my primitive Toyota eye, that the LX450 blank is different than the one I see for the wallet cards. If you're going to make one for Land Cruisers, make it to fit the all metal version, so it will have a thinner profile. The only key I see for the LX450 has the plastic head. But it's not a transponder key - so maybe you can figure something else out using just the blade portion?

so you have a magnetic key hider? nothing? you keep a spare on a chain around your neck? in your backpack? coat?

Haha, I prefer the bailing wire method. I definitely keep a key hidden under my rig..... After the first time locking myself out and breaking a window to get in. I learned the hard way lol.

And don't worry, I don't think anyone could find the spare without some serious time spent looking.

Same I have spare double zip-tied underneath in a hidey spot
