Any recommendations, just got the stitchs out of my back and need something comfy and durable.

Rob:popcorn:

the lower the better. Next one I get is one that has the wheels "higher" than the support surface.

needs good wheels if it's going to be used over rough asphalt.

The head support adjustment is not a bad idea in principle but mine doesn't work very well.

would be nice to have a tray attached where you could put tools.

I would say if you're going to use it a lot and with a bad back, get the best you can afford from a specialized outfit, not the local Kragen.

Wifey got me a cheapy from Vatozone years ago. Still works great.

I have a snap on......Was given to me. It has a side tray but I always use a metal/mag. tray that was no matter where it is I can throw a bolt up or in

I don't have a bad back...and am cheap so I made my own...plywood and rolling casters. Works fine when I need it...which is rarely.

I've done almost the same - I have an older style creeper with those slanted steel wheels but I prefer to use my father-in-law's hand-me-down furniture dolly. It's plywood about 4" tall and about 28"x60" - big enough to set a whole project full of tools above your head when lying on it. And it rolls real easy, even over an airline. It has a "skirt" around it so my shop smock I usually wear while wrenching doesn't get stuck under the wheels like my other creeper. My truck is plenty tall enough, I can even squeeze under the diffs with it.

I will take a look tomorrow when I go out to the shop, I think mine is cornwell. It is large, has big wheels that sit higher than the pad. Makes it perfect for rough surfaces. Also has a heavy frame. Been plopping 260# on it for years with no problems.

"The Bone" are pretty cool but a bitch to crawl out of, I've got a Craftsman Pro series that has huge rubber caster that roll over gravel, which is usually the covering of our shop floor. Definitely not the best choice for low clearance vehicles but great if you have space.

"The Bone" - not for low clearance and not for slanted driveways as it will turn into a luge very quickly.

I ended up getting one of those all plastic ones premium units from Lordco, pretty pricey...

Now I see almost the exact unit at princess auto:rolleyes:.

Thanks for the ideas.

Rob

I like the plastic Lisle creepers. When it gets run over, the creeper just flattens out and pops back up. Yet it is strong enough to roll a 2F block or H55 around the shop floor. Urethane wheels roll over bumpy floors better than steel wheels.

Blue is best, it's pretty:

Very cool! Did you get the 4' wheels?

And ponytails. Nothing Quite compares to cutting a creeper out of your hair.

Been almost 30 years since I had a pony tale, or a mullit for that matter........
