I just want to set the record straight that I'm not crazy, maybe I don't know how to use this POS computer but that don't make me crazy.I was just trying to make some nameless person (FJ40LVR) fulfill a promise he made and then the name callin' starts.
I'm usually open for a sunday run and Blues Dawg was talking about a local trip and I thought I might be able to shame FJ40LVR into leading us to his secret spot at sycamore creek.

I say we get FJ40LVR to come join us on Sunday and take us (blindfolded if necessary) to his secret spot. I think Sunflower Mine is on/near sycamore creek - need to consult the book. Oh, and the OME suspension is finally installed - we need to give it a preliminary shakedown...

I might take you up on the offer in order to see you drive blindfolded!

Yeah but Sycamore Creek is pretty far from Sunflower.

And if you're going in to Sycamore via Sugarloaf leave me out. It's a cesspool down there. There's probably 93,852,389,750,834,750,923,872,394,876 tons of brass from shootin' plus trash trash trash. Filled my trail trash bag in about 3.5 nanoseconds. Not to mention the group of people that camped ON THE TRAIL (blocking it) and you had to drive THROUGH THEIR CAMP to drive further. Morons.

yeah i dont need any part of sugarloaf/sycamore, its ugly and mullets are popular. sunflower mine trail is at the top of the big hill, eh, whats the name ?

FJ40LVR says he knows a great place to wheel away from all the psycho people at the main wash, but I understand what you're saying, it's a real shame that it got trashed.

Howdy! If you drop into Sycamore at the 4 Peaks turnoff, and head upstream, then you can find all kinds of fun. I was just talking to Tools about this at the end of the Sonic meet last week. I would be in for that area, but Sundays are out for me right now. John

I'd be up for a day trip in to and around Sunflower Mine... it's a great trip. The mine is pretty neat and there's fun 'wheeling. And the infamous metal-deck bridge!

So, can we count you in for Sunday then?

...

Yep, but the creek that you cross and runs by the mine is Sycamore.

You're welcome ;)
You can thank the Honeywell/Allied Signal 4WD club for getting that bridge rebuilt to stay after the infamous "Viper Militia" asshats blew/burned it up years ago.

that is right - but you have to always anticipate being confronted by wild ATVs

Howdy! Obviously, you have not heard the tale of the dirt bike that tried to ram my Piggy off the trail:rolleyes: a few years ago west of Lake Pleasant. I was leading a group of abou 14 rigs back from a run up the Hassayampa River and into the Constellation Mine area. The bike survived amazingly well,;) it was even able to be ridden out, but the driver did not fare:crybaby: nearly as well. He snapped his leg above the knee, and we medi-vaced him ou:idea: t in an empty FJ60. My Piggy was nearly:eek: destroyed! It took about 50 cents worth of spray paint to touch up:grinpimp: the bumper. Odd thing is, I was stopped dead in the trail:whoops: when he hit me. He knew it could have been worse. When the paramedics loaded him into the meatwagon, he told me he was very glad that he bounced off the bumper, as opposed to going all the way under and getting driven over. Certainly, bikes and quads can be a hazard on the trail, and I do watch out for them, but there is an old international standard that everyone should be familiar with: SIZE WINS!!! I spent a long time riding a bicycle in the orient, and I learned this lesson well.
