Help please....I just finished the H55F conversion on my 87 FJ60...and now it seems that i broke the crankshaft pulley(during install?). This is the 3 belt model (w/factory AC). The 3rd pulley (largest) seems to have seperated from whatever was holding it and now floats freely (or almost) on the crankshaft. This pulley was associated w/ the AC but was never connected. New crankshaft pulley from toyota is $589.00 USD and cruiserparts.net lists one for $150.00 USD. Is there any other fix for this (short term/long term) until i can afford a replacement, ie. tack weld, cut off 3rd pulley, etc.???????

This is a pretty common problem with the outer pulley rivets. If you can clamp it so that it is concentric, go ahead and weld it. If you aren't using it, you can cut it off.

Thanks-- will cutting it off/welding effect the harmonic balancer? (what ever that is) I'm not really familiar with the crankshaft/pulley assembly. I thought the 5 speed conversion was the most complicated project i was gonna do with my LC. BTW- with the pulley floating - would that cause vibrations throughout the drivelines?

That pulley floating could be sending vibrations through your engine that the dampener is supposed to prevent. Probably not the best idea to run with it floating around. For drive line vibration check u joints and make sure your drive shafts are in phase.
