Hey guys,
Long time lurker making his first post and wanting to say hello. Picked up a 2005 lx470 in January of 2023 and have learned alot from this site since then. When I have time i’ll try to post pictures in chronological order of the things I did. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Here are of the first pictures I have of the car when I bought it.

Truck is in excellent condition considering her age. No rust issues and the interior wasn’t destroyed. One of the first things I did to the truck was polish the headlights using a turtle wax restoration kit. I think it came out pretty well for 15 dollars. Really wish I had glass housings though.

115,559 miles on an island? how many times around the island did it go?
nice rig

Nice rig. White LX; love it! Lots of info on here from knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate folks. Dive in!

Welcome! My new to me (this august) 2003 LX came with 104k from Maui. Also blizzard pearl! I am not as fortunate as you on the mechanical and cosmetic condition though. It was my first time vacuuming beach sand out of a car. In my limited experience this forum is incredible. Grateful for you and all the other knowledge sharing people that post here.

welcome!
are you on the big island?
thank you. Yes I am

thank you. Yes I’ve learned quite a bit.

After driving the car at night I had to fix the headlights. I knew drop in bulbs wouldn’t work but I tried them anyways lol. Of course the cut off and light output was horrible. Ended up ordering a projector retrofit from @Luke111. Super awesome guy to work with.
I was missing an item from my order and emailed him around 7 pm on a sat. 20 mins later I got an email asking if we could talk on the phone. I called him immediately and he told me to excuse the noise becasue he was at a party lol. Pretty sure it would have been 11pm or later with the time difference when he answered. That’s awesome customer service right there. Anyways we discussed what was missing and he sent me the part right away.

And high beams with led bulbs. I love the out put and I can actually see at night. Cut off may look a little high but the drive way slopes down.

Next on the to do list was flushing the AHC system. I followed the instructions in the how to section and I watched a video by yotamd on YouTube. I also used his 100 series cheat sheet when checking my pressures. Luckily everything was within spec.

I didn’t like how low the truck looked with the running boards so I removed them and installed oem mudflaps and brackets. Now it looks like a proper truck. Also had the windows tinted 5% in the rear, 29% front windows, and 80% on the windshield.

I really enjoyed the courtesy lights under the running boards and I was sad to see them go. Decided to add led truck bed strips under the body. I cut the connector off the running boards and soldered them onto the strips. I seen someone else on here do it but I can’t remember who it was.

In June of 2023 at 117,930 miles I had the timing belt, water pump, and heater T’s replaced. Service records show that in 2013 at approximately 60,000 miles the original belt was replaced.

Around that same time I also installed some wet okole seat covers to protect the front and rear seats. Wasn’t sure how the brown would match but I think it looks good.

Is that the “Taupe” or “ Mocha”?

Really clean LX for Hawaii. I wonder if it was originally sold in Hawaii or imported later. Earlier 100's were easier to distinguish because they might not have seat/rear heaters and no Navigation. Newer years, like yours, I don't know.

For your headlamps, I recommend 3M paint protection film to keep your shine last 4 times longer.

I checked my receipts but it didn’t tell me what color it was. I want to say it’s the taupe. If you’re interested, wet okole will send out free color swatches to help you decide

Thank you. The lights are slowly starting to get yellow again so I may look into this once I clean them up again
Those are sweet seat covers.
Thanks. I’ve had them in 5 other cars and they are very durable. I love them lol
