Lump, not egg though.

Is it just a generic "egg" or something entirely different?

How much charcoal are you loading to get a 24 hour burn?

My inefficient smoker can burn through a whole bag plus some wood (for smoke) to cook butts.

It's an egg; I just don't use their coal. I've been using Rockwood lump.

I load the egg firebox a little above where the ring meets the box - probably a third of a bag of coal. I mix pieces of wood throughout (used peach yesterday). This is what was left this morning after I shut it down:

The Green Egg is the most impressive cooking implement I have ever seen.

The Egg coal is good ****. I barely use any every time I cook.

Last night we had tamales and corn. View attachment 914098

Just saw a segment on the weather channel where "scientists" are warning that people should immediately stop cooking their food over charcoal..............................

because cooking over charcoal releases up to 11 lbs. of carbon dioxide per grilling session!

So, um......well, you've all now been warned!

Beautiful. I grew up in a registered home. Its a neat experience and great way to learn architecture.

I buy carbon credits, so it's cool.

I'm buying a charcoal grill and grilling every day! See, these are the things that make me angry!
