The Pinz ......

I call it my shop truck but its not part of the business. I've literally wanted one for 40 years. Remember seeing them as a kid back home in Austria. My grandpa was a mechanical engineer for Steyr-Daimler-Puch for many years. Heck, he might have been part of the design team.
This one was in the Austrian army; most of the units you find for sale over here are ex-Swiss.
Then it went to a high-end red stag hunting ranch in Hungary. Then Mike Warn bought it and had it built for the 94 Transylvania Ralley in 1994. Upgraded to execution 2 Diffs ( all 3 axles have hydraulically applied selectable lockers ) but only the front steers ( on all pinzgauers ).
Then it was a race truck for a couple of years. Then support/transport rig in Africa till 2000. Then it was purchased by an importer and brought over here.
I'm the third owner since.
That little rig makes me feel like a 16-year-old. You know, get in it just to drive. Not to really go anywhere.
Good times.

Georg

New toy for working around the land we bought. Or using the axles under something one of these days.

If it had a 40 body.......
