It really wasn't too bad. They pulled their usual BS asking if the vehicle was there with me and I replied "how could I drive it here without license plates on it?!"
So I had to get a vin verification done. That can be a pita. But it certainly helps matters when one of your customers/friends is the chief CHP investigator for the county. Sent him a text, he came by with the proper papers and filled them out.
Back to the DMV, walked out 20 minutes later; registration and plates in hand.

How I spent Veteran's Day:
I'm almost embarassed to post this because some of you have really nice man caves/shops.
This is my starting point. I had everything just dumped in the corner from our move and finally found a way to get organized. Father in law gutted his kitchen so I claimed the old stuff. I wanted somewhere for tools, lock up paint, chemicals, etc. from kids.
This way our actual "tool room" in garage can hold tricycles, strollers, holiday stuff the wife needs access to.
It may not look like much but it will be perfect for fixing furniture and tinkering. gotta build a table and get some more lighting. Hardest part was getting it off the truck by myself.

My coveted 09 crawl cd....no just a cd case and our old cell phones that were just turned off last week. DPD said they look for cables coming out of the dash hoping devices will be left in vehicle. The night before I left my iPad under the console so got lucky. I just had a meeting in Shreveport that I am not going to make... Waiting on glass co now.
