The little :princess: got some range time in this weekend. Whilst running her pink rascal she looks at me and says "we should do this more at home"

Yes ma'am we should, and we shall moving forward.

But we are definitely finding her something with a magazine because single shot loading a bolt action 22 is for the birds

I was quite proud. First time in a looonnnggg time for her. After a couple shots she was plinking the ar500 at about 30-40 yards on iron sights

@LDowney I think the Rascal is a excellent starter for a small child. Single shot bolt action. The only thing that has been a bit of pain is the feed ramp isn't the best and I basically have to feed each shell all the way into the chamber and if I don't it will get jammed up and I have to fidget with it, so I have just started feeding them all the way in each time.

Being bolt action with a safety lever right behind the bolt, there are a lot of good skills that they can learn. Operationally, it is easy to use and it is super light. And I will be honest, I actually love to shot it myself. The single shot loading is a pain, but it is a fun little gun.

Mary Helen hit, I just got on video. I hit a big fat goose egg.

What’s the latest recommendation for a 9mm compact or sub-compact?
I really liked the M&P M2.0 Compact with 3.6” barrel.

365X or 365XL with RomeoZero

I picked up the P365XL as well a little while back. Disappears on your hip and can hide in most pockets. Best small grip I've held.

I still love my VP9sk, but it is a fat chunky gun compared to the 365XL.

They had some at The Range the other weekend in stock in the first cabinet as you walk in.

Santa did good!

Thanks for all of the great recommendations for the Sig P365 and XL. Very happy with our purchases.

How about hearing protection? Keep it simple or go with the ones that allow you to hear someone talk, but block the gun? Any particular brand or model?
