Hey I got your message but it said it wasn't available for response? Never seen that before. 60 series will be in the early spring. The rear will be first more than likely. Because I have someone that's been waiting a long time. And I need one for my truck. The rear will more than likely be started probably next month.
Rich...I'm fairly new to the forum and I have no idea why the thread would say it wasn't open for replies! Sorry for the confusion. Please feel free to keep my contact info and let me know when you have the 60 goodies in the works.

Cheers!

Rich,

I too am new to the forum I just read this whole thread and I'm excited to see what you have the the 60 series. This is some amazing work and I love the tool shots too. I applaud all your hard work. Reading from becomeing a vendor to the great cruiser success you have built, it was a good read.

No worries.
Will do.
Thanks

Cheers!

Hi Rich - did you ever develop the rear bumper ends/caps for the 80 that were described in your first post? I looked, and can't seem to find any examples, but would be very interested in them. Thanks!

Hi and thanks for your inquiry. No those did not come to be... at the time I had more expressed interest in a full rear bumper than those and moved foward on the rear. Doing so removed those sections of frame so I have not revisited the idea.. if you are local to me I could build a set on your vehicle.

Thanks and sorry those didn't make it.

Hi Rich - I am in Northern CA, and it appears you are in MA, so that probably won't work. But your stuff looks awesome!

Sorry for the delayed responses guys. I'm not getting email notifications for some reason. And have been crazy busy with work for local builders. They found me on IG and have been putting me to work building custom pieces for homes and restaurants.. along with that im building 2 bumpers that are behind schedule, i havent been coming on the forum. Been working into the night 7 days a week. So I'd like to finish these ones up. And get caught back up. Here's a couple shots of that last bumper mounted. Love the color of this truck.

Whose truck is this?!?! Looks like he is in Des Moines. I'm over in Cedar Rapids.

Anyway, messaging you about a front bumper for my 80...

Ordered one with custom tube work, so at least it'll be different. I'm excited to see what he comes up with.

It will definitely be different..... yours so far is a 1 of 1 to date...and will be a new for 2018 hybrid plate configuration on the main body to offset the added weight of what you asked for up top... It's a new idea I had and worked on while i was sick. I have been wanting to do it for a bit..
Basically to capitalize on how I build my bumpers (piece by piece) as opposed to how most build theirs...press bent plate.. I'm going to blend material thickness through out the bumper. Without getting into too much detail, there will be thicker plate where needed and thinner plate where it can be in areas that don't see impact or are at a mechanical advantage by location and directional position on the bumper... one wing could be comprised of 2 to 3 different material thicknesses?? The center section will definitely see weight savings. Its something I've been wanting to try along with other new things...

Sounds awesome, I'm glad to be your Guinea pig :)

Wow, I just finished going through this whole thread. Your work is amazing! I could see my wife's Gen2 Sequoia sporting some of your armor!

Happy New Year @RDC76. Here is your fire pit at work at 5 degrees tonight. Amazing what we will do to escape the kids! It has held up well under extreme heat. I did find once a good bed of coals take over that a good amount of heat will travel through the handles cut in the metal. We Were warm at 5 degrees!

Hi guys and gals. Ive been on here for a few years now and have recently become a vendor. I 've always been a Toyota guy and own a couple cruisers and a 4 runner. My 60 aka Ingrid was trapper50cals old rig. And nuclear lemons before.
I'm a full time fabricator and also have a small shop at home. Currently I offer an 80 series expedition based front bumper that started as a personal bumper for my 80 and due to all the response has turned into my first mail order available product. There is a full build thread and a couple great reviews on here currently. I'll add links later. There is a standard version and heavy duty. I'm currently in the middle of developing a modular rear bumper to compliment my front bumper. It will have some really nice features some of which I have gotten numerous requests for and some not currently offered on a rear for 80.
I will also be making steel rear corners to replace the useless plastic stock corners. These are a great option for those that do not want a full on bumper or want a cost effective solution.
I am also developing a rear cargo divider with some nice features as well. I'm up for any custom requests from simple brackets aluminum or steel to full vehicle kit outs if your local.
I also build artsy stuff as well. From reclaimed wood/steel tables and lighting to the 50cal twin gatling guns that can be seen in another thread on here.
You can follow me on Facebook to see what I'm up to when not posting on here as my website is still being developed. Here are some pics of the 80 series bumper I currently offerView attachment 1199979 View attachment 1199980
