Oh man, I really want to go . . . but can't.

Missed last year also.

Next time . . .

I thought it was just Sat? Is Sunday the better day to go?

Actually Saturday IS better, but i have plans and can only go on Sunday!

Saturday is better because its the first day of the races and you get to see ALL of the trucks. Sunday you see a lot less trucks because they get demolished!

:D

BluetribalBut I will hit you up if things change and maybe I can meet up with you Sunday.[/QUOTE said:

Whoah, what an event! I ended up going Sunday because that was when my budies could go. Sorry I didn't call you Kevin, I wasn't all there till' the race started and blew out my ear drums! I had a rough night Sat night and barely woke up in time to get to the track. We didn't get to the track till' 2:30 so we missed the Pro 4 Qualifying race but definitely heard them as we were walking up! We got to our seats just in time for the Pro 2's and man what a race! There were 4 lead changes in the last 3 laps and the 3 laps before that McGraf was in a great battle for third till' he fell back and finished 4 or 5.
I must say the track is incredible!! It is almost a mile long and set-up very nice. It has everything in it! The first turn is a huge sweep up the side of a mountain with a 45° pitch, then into a hair pin turn and back up the mountain. After that they take a jump that takes them right into a huge drop off down the mountain. After that there are a couple more turns and a hair pin before they hit the triples to the finish line. I sat right at the end of the triples about 5th row. Next time I would sit further East and higher up so you can see the East side of the track better. We couldn't really see the action of the hair pin (Turn 2).
I can't wait to go back in September and for you guys up North the next race is at the Antelope Valley Fair Grounds Sept 15 & 16th. I can't imagine the track there being as good as Chula Vista since I am sure it is not a designated track. So if you are willing to make the drive down South I would wait 2 more weeks and come down to Chula Sept 29 & 30th.

Sorry I didn't call you Kevin,

No sweat, i wouldnt have heard my phone anyway! :D

We got there just as the single buggys were running. The pro 4 qual was an AWESOME race but the Pro 2 with RJ and Carl battling was the best i have seen in a LONG time! Most cool!

I concur! WAYYYYY better then their last venue! You can see almost the entire race!

We were in the top row at the VERY far east end of the bleachers! Seats were AWESOME and we could see bits of everything! We got the tix for free so we couldnt complain! :D
