I have an F 145 engine with the copper vacuum line to the distributor. Line is jacked up. I need a new line. Does anyone know the diameter of that line? I tried to find a part number for it but did not have much luck. Thanks for any info or suggestions.

You should just measure it. Me, I would just cut out the bad place and solder in a new section of tubing that fits over the old stuff.

Second thought Vacuum hose, glued/clamped to short section of the tube at both ends. If ends are bad, get barb nipples that screw in.

Yes I can measure outside diameter inside diameter is very small and will be problematic. I was also thinking of trying to find nipples that would screw into carb and distributor and use rubber hose.

An index of number drills is very handy for sizing ID from like .228 to .040.

Its not a hi flow unit so I would think anything in the 1/8 ID range would work. Perhaps some copper nickel brake line in 3/16. I have done lots of fitting conversions by soldering one inside the other - it just needs to be air tight - not like trying to hold 6000 psi.
