I've looked at several GX 460s in person before I found one we liked and all of them were a little low on coolant in the overflow tank. They all had just a little in the bottom, below the L line. Is this normal on GX 460s with 50k to 75k miles?

unsure if it's normal, but mine was about 1" lower than the L line at about that mileage. I bought mine used so unsure of previous maintenance, but I immediately did a radiator, and overflow tank drain and fill.

Highly suspect either valley pan or radiator leak. I am nursing a valley pan leak right now. Planning on getting it fixed in another 10k. I put on about 45-50k and i noticed my coolant leak about 10k ago. It is not consistent, have only added about a quarter so far.

also especially if trucks are 2015 and older.

This picture is looking up from below the transmission and bellhousing.

I've had the valley plate leak repaired, AND a new radiator in the 50k I've owned it. Now my radiator petcock is dripping...

Oofta that sucks. What kind of radiator do you have?

Wouldn't worry about it unless you're seeing white smoke or as mentioned above "pink" crusties.

Perhaps try spraying some WD-40 or something and also use an air nozzle. There may be something stuck in the petcock. Blowing it out and cleaning it out may work.

I have a new one sitting in my workbench waiting for install. Couple bucks.

Yeah. My O'Reilly radiator probably will be like that in a year as well. I need to snagged a mishimoto to have in my spare pile
