Man this would be a good thing to put in our 470!

Curious how much these run, is the rear ac control swap in plug/play?

And what's the best solution to cover the old armrest holes in the seats?

If you want OEM, Toyota makes a armrest cover for the passenger FJ seat that will fit. If you Google it you can find the part number on fj cruiser forums. It only comes in gray. So if you have the tan interior you’d need to color match.

as for the driver seat that would either take a modification of an FJ passenger arm rest cover or a complete diy. Could make them out of about anything.

install your own rear buttons, I will only make a neat window, and you can also fix the buttons with screws on the back side.
I will cover the holes in the seats with special covers. Which I will make on a lathe, then I will paint them in the color of the seats.

if you want to transfer a wooden insert to the prado console, you need to assemble one console from two. You need to carefully cut them into two halves and connect them together.

Agreed, looks like an awesome mod, I'd be interested in one as well. I really don't like the console layout in the GX for a variety of reasons.

Agreed, there’s very little I dislike about this truck, but I hate the center console so much. That’s one thing that most US truck manufacturers seem to get right: big center consoles with arm rest and storage.

The prado one seems like a nice step up over the stock gx console.

Hoping to breathe new life back into this thread, but also curious; what year prado center console is compatible with our GX’s? Seems like there’s a variety out there different years that look similar to each other.

Nice! One less thing for me to swap over!!!

Please put my name on that shopping list TAN

I don't think he comes here anymore, but he's active on FB, can find him in the GXOR groups.

Hello, was wondering if you're still able to source and modify a Prado 120 center console to install into my 2005 Lexus GX470 (USA)?

My interior is tan, but the center console seems to be a bit darker shade of tan. Attached a few pictures.

If you are still able to provide the console with the rear A/C controls, what might it cost? Are there any other difficult parts to the removal and installation of the current console and the Prado console? Any other modification/accessories you offer for the 2005 Lexus GX470? Also, what sort of timeline might you be on to get one to the USA (Austin, TX area - USA zipcode of 78738 if that helps)?
