Going to look at this cruiser this weekend. Previously owned an 80s series but had to sell for a more economical DD. Now I work from home full time so looking to get another LC. Seems to be solid and a good deal. Any feedback is appreciated!

posted info -
1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62. Asking $14000 obo. I love this FJ and am going to hate myself in years to come, but medical issues have changed our priorities.

Previous owner started the restoration.
Paint and interior was done by him
Leather seats, door panels, and headliner
Rhino lined floor
Last 2.5 years I have owned it.
New completely new AC system
New radiator
New hoses
New locking hubs
New battery
New touch screen satellite radio
New back up camera
New front and back speakers
New Low beam headlights
New rear shocks
Replaced oil pan gasket
Replaced all window switches
New thermostat
No Rust on body or frame.

It is not perfect or it would be on B.a.T

Hoping some makes her as beautiful as she needs to be.

I have all documents from what I have done. Only document from previous is the owner is gas tank replacement. Runs and drivers great. Clean title in hand.

Looks like the one for sale in Fayetteville. Rhino liner and new paint scare me a bit but overall doesn’t look terrible. They have any photos prior to paint?

That’s the one!
Don’t believe he has any photos of before, he purchased it already painted/restoration started.

$14,000??? I wouldn't pay that much.
X2 on a magnet
for me there are a lot of red flags
blue over spray
oil all over the oil pan with a new gasket
can't decide what color interior it should be, both blue/grey and tan/brown?
fresh black paint on frame, springs, axles, disc backing plates
driver side leaky knuckle
etc.

I’m definitely taking a magnet to check.

We FaceTimed and did a walk around video of it and only rust seemed to be on drain holes on the bottom of the doors.
Cranked right up, clean car fax, decent mileage so I thought it would be a safe bet.
People keep mentioning rhino liner floors but I’ve also seen that done for heat/noise and the. Add carpet on top.
What should I check for in person?

Based on the pictures, I could paint a car better. And full disclaimer, I’ve never painted a car.
And that’s an FJ62, not a 60.
