Condensation in the form of white smoke from A/C vents?

I know this is a 60 series forum. But this issue is with another relic Toyota. I'm sure this can also be applied to the FJ60/62

My '85 Celica has what seems to be white odorless smoke coming from the A/C vents when the A/C is on.

Could this be cold air meeting hot air, or might I have a problem?

It was very humid today and raining when it happened... might have something to do with it?

My 60 does it when humid out, too. It kinda makes it feel colder!

It's possible that your condenser is freezing. john
what i mean is evaporator,condenser is in the front of your radiator

happens nearly everyday in my 60. The more humid outside the worse it is. nothing to worry about

Two things I can think of: make sure the evaporator drain is open and use the fresh-air setting, not recirculation.

Your coolant level isn't going down is it?

I had the same experience over the weekend. It was very humid and I just turned up the fan and it went away after a few minutes.

I'm thinking it was the humidity also... because it was like the tropics the day it happened. Then it started pouring shortly afterwards.

It's a convertible so there is always some outside air getting in no matter what.
It must have been the mix of hot and cold.

I thought I'd consult the pros just in case.

i had a similiar prob in my 91 jetta. turned out to be a bad heater core. lucky me there was a recall on them so i got the new one for free

same here... happened a couple of times... odorless. went away after about 45 sec....

i also have 85 celica convetable it does the same thing when its very humid witch is all summer here in tn. also check the evaporator drain.had to clean mine out last year it had what looked like pond scum growing in it
