Is this a computer case fan in the dash??

While I had my stereo out of my 94 LC and testing why the CD didn't work (I'm gonna ditch it anyway I think) I found this...
fan.jpg

I've heard a whirrling sound coming from the dash before I took it apart when I would turn the ignition to ACC. This fan is what I heard, and was wondering what the point of it is? Maybe to cool some electronics or the stereo, since it has nothing to do with the climate control.
Thanks -Gary

Yup!! I have that also. I'm pretty sure it is to help cool the monster size stock radio. I saw it while installing my new radio.

Dead pic, would like to see that pic, can you fix it?

The pic should work all the time unless my college webserver happens to go down. But it usually comes back up within a day or less, so all I can say it try back later if it didn't display for you.

it is working for me now.

So that's what I hear for a second after I turn the cruiser off!

It is a radio cooling fan. They are a pretty good idea. You can hear them if you are very quiet with the key "on" and the engine not running.
