does anyone know if any of the compressor companies have in house assembly or at least have manufacturing plants in any country besides China?

If I'm in the wrong section, I apologize.

Do you mean home compressors or OBA-type compressors?

IIRC ARB's compressors are still built in Oz... I could be wrong about that though.

Just a FYI/side bar. According to the electronics trade rags I get labor prices in China are getting high enough that a lot of electronics companies are thinking about pulling out and moving back to Malaysia and Mexico. Who knows if this keeps up we may be making stuff in the US again.

York! :D

Assuming you are referring to shop air compressors there are only two domestic manufacturers, and here's one: Eaton Compressor & Fabrication Inc
( I actually don't know who #2 is)

I have an Eaton, love it. Great compressor, especially for the price.

I'm also pretty anti China, and called and spoke to them before I ordered. A lot of components are made in China, as I recall. Most of the assembly is done here in the US. Call them and check, but I'm pretty certain they are not 100% US.

Quincy is another Compressor .
I have a few of them . Quincy from 1940-to date on on major ships.
