So our family just completed a back n forth trip from Socal-Florida. I was impressed of my overall performance of my 200 2016 plus unpredictable weather change. I was planning to sell it since i got my 21 HE. But after the trip, thinking of just keeping it.
I hear this a lot on this site but I’m thinking the persons asking should rephrase it “how many gas stops were needed”. The Land Cruiser does not get very far on a full tank.

Fuel range is my biggest complaint. My wife and kids love the range on road trips. I never want to stop but they have squirrel bladders and the range is perfect for them . Great thing about the LC, it’s the least likely suv to leave you stranded.
For what it's worth, I installed the 40 gallon LRA auxiliary tank, by myself, in my driveway, over 18 months ago and I have had zero issues to date.
I would have already traded my 2015 for a final year model, but I love my tank set up too much to start from scratch again.

We have done cross countries 2 years in a row now and gas stops (particularly when heavy or towing) are my biggest logistical challenge as well. I have my eyes on the 12g as I want to keep the spare underneath truck. Will likely do this prior to our next summer cross country.
