For those of you whom have removed the rear seats, could you use the seat belt buckle up front to quite down the beeps? This way you don't have to disable the entire system for one beep. I don't think it would be practical but just curious.

You mean just as a dummy? You could probably do that if it's the same size. Maybe you could order just a dummy buckle? Or install some sort of "override" switch that performs the same action to the circuit as the buckle does. I'm guessing it just completes the circuit, or maybe it disconnects the circuit.

there is a simple switch inside the buckle that closes when the other end is inserted. get access to the wires and jump them together. conversely, the buzzer may go off when the circuit is open. you'll just have to experiment to figure out which way it is wired. either way, this will permanently disable the buzzer for just that belt without interfering with anything else.

Well, got the LC back and they did it right. Smooth as silk and no more clunk since they replaced the drive shaft. They got a big kick out of all the scribbling I put on the shaft, too. :D But, hey it got replaced.

Got the XM put in and it's nice to have that back, too.

I forgot to add that if the owners manual allows for it, and I will check it, my service folks say they will silence the seatbelt chime for 40$. FWIW.
