Nice truck! Why are you selling it, if you don't mind me asking? I've seen your posts before and it seemed like you were in it for the long run.

Good luck with the sale. Definitely tempting.
Great question. I should probably include that in the post. I did not expect to sell this until very late last year. I was planning on hitting 300k and even 350k, 400k with it.

Short answer: I'm selling this because I've changed over to a "fully built" 06 LX. Check out the thread "YotaMD Build: Cypress"

Long answer: Given the continuing success of YotaMD and Air Down Gear Up I wanted to build up my 100 series the way i really wanted - for myself, my family and for the businesses. That meant planning for a ~$10k-20k investment in parts on top of the vehicle I already had. With that level of investment I sat back and thought, "Well jeez, maybe I should just get the 100 I really want from the ground up." For me, that meant an LX with the 5spd, VVTI, AHC and as many airbags as the 100 offered. The LX tends to be priced lower than a similar LC, so that meant my cost to switch platforms up to an 06/07 LX may not be so huge. Having the LX now for 8 months and being ... gulp... $30k into it... I think I got my cost estimates wrong... by a long shot. I'll blame it on the hidden windshield damage, roof damage and coolant leak on the 06LX. At this point though, I'm committed to the new rig for the long haul and this tried and true 99 LC can go to someone with more financial restraint than myself. :)

Rest assured, I'll still be posting like a maniac around here. ;)

Wish I needed another 100! I’m right across i25...

GLWS!

Let me know if it falls through and that rear bumper can be taken. I've a stock one to trade lol o_O

Definitely nice looking rig. Tough finding what I want.
Thanks. Judging by this [assumed] sale and a few others I've seen recently I think values are on the rise, perhaps sharply. This is all but sold at $13k and I think I could have squeaked out another 1-2k based on all the offers that flooded in on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. I've never had so many people express such enthusiastic interest to be on a waiting list to buy a car sight unseen. Maybe I've just got some extra visibility between folks following my posts here and on social media. 🤷 Hard to tell. Looks like another 99 (fewer miles and more goodies) just sold for $15-17k. It's going to be harder and harder to find a clean 100 under $15k going forward.

... And I'm sure a few extra people with run down 100's will be asking even more ridiculous prices than they would have prior, haha.

These trucks are on the rise up of the depreciation curve. Why pay $40k for a sub par SUV when you could get a legend for a fraction.

I couldn't agree more. The 04 on BaT today for 17.250 + BAT adding 750 to meet the 18k reserve. I sold a 99 LX w/ OME, 33s and a VERY clean body/interior w/ 183k for $14,200. 100 series are on the come up big time.

Payment complete, title signed, auto transport picked it up today.

For posterity and market pricing info, this sold at $13k and had multiple offers at full asking price, sight unseen after less than a week listed. I probably priced it $1-2k lower than the market would support. Throughout the deposit and purchase ordeal I had more than 3 people offer deposits if the first guy fell through.

Clean early LCs have strong demand, regardless of miles.
