Greetings fellow mud-ites...as some of you discovered last year I make home-made almond toffee (english style made from butter, sugar, etc with whole almonds in it and then with a layer of milk chocolate on the top and ground toasted almonds sprinkled on that) which some people seem to like. :D

I am making it again this year, getting a bit of a slow start with my new job keeping me super busy, but getting down to it now. Prices are up from last year (HA, what isn't more expensive this year!) only because of ingredient costs being higher (don't believe me? The almonds used have gone up 160% since last year, yes that's more than doubled and almost tripled, so I am forced to raise the prices a bit...), no I do not make much money on this, but I enjoy making it for friends.

(Note: Yes the websites are lame, no pictures, etc...I am well aware of that, but they do work, you will get your toffee and you will probably enjoy it, most people do.)

Before anyone even asks, yes there is a IH8MUD discount :flipoff2: you just need to use the ih8mud special website at:
http://www.coloradotoffee.com/ih8mud/

The normal site is:
http://www.coloradotoffee.com which has higher prices...for the general public.

All orders are placed in sealed festive bags (some with snowflakes, some with snowmen, etc)...orders can come in 1/2 lb bags or 1 lb bags. A 1-lb order for example will be in two 1/2 lb bags...2-3 lb orders can be in either size bag, will be in 1-lb bag unless you specify different when you order it (I believe there is a spot in paypal to enter special instructions, if not then just e-mail me with any info (just send to the same address as the payment is going to: payments@coloradotoffee.com)). Orders are shipping USPS priority mail in new boxes with packing peanuts, you will be given a USPS confirmation number if you want, that's not a tracking #, just a mostly useless confirmation number, but I'll pass that along if you so desire.

So, I hope you all order some, enjoy it, it's fun to make and fun to send it to people who appreciate it (NorCalDoug for example downed something like 5-10 lbs himself I believe...he's a platinum status customer!) :D

If anyone wants more than 3 lbs, just e-mail me as the per pound price will be cheaper to ship a larger order all in one box.

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the order, yeah, some people seem to like the stuff... :D

Thanks,
Mark

I'm going to try it. If NorCalDoug says it's good, that's enough for me. Thanks Mark, I'll look forward to sampling the goods.

I threw on several pounds of winter...uhhh..."insulation" last year courtesy of Mark's Most Excellent Toffee :D

I'll be placing another order this year :)

Quick delivery, excellent packaging, and awesome product- Thank you Mark!

If you are buying this for a gift, definitely get yourself some :grinpimp:

Got mine as well Mark.

Thanks as always for the prompt and professional service.

This stuff is great...I've eaten a pound already!!!!!!!

Cool...thanks guys for the nice words!

As for storage concerns, no worries, you can put it in an airtight container and refrigerate or freeze for (honestly probably forever) a long time...or you can leave it in the sealed bag on the counter for a long time and it'll still be fine. It's like the Land Cruiser of candy, can't hurt it. :D

Doug, PM me (did you get my PM I sent to you???), you got some coming your way anyway, remember the snowboard you gave me...

Thanks guys,
Mark

Toffee Review

The toffee came yesterday-thanks for the fast service. My two teenagers wanted to sample right away but I was headed out running and made them wait. When I got home, I was greeted by "you won't like it," like I would be put off that easily. I smelled a rat and immediately went looking for the 3 bags of toffee. Bag #1 was intact and in the fridge where I left it. Bag #2 was open with a few pieces missing. Bag #3 could not be found. It turns out bag #3 had been deep sixed in the trash because it was EMPTY! Between the 2 kids and my wife they had downed a pound of toffee in an hour.

Mark-this is some seriously good stuff. It is strangely addictive, and once you start munching, it is hard to stop. I'm thinking you may be sharing a jail cell with the tobacco company execs in a few years. In fact, I think I'm going to have some for breakfast. Big thumbs up from my family. Delicious.

Mark,

As you know, last year, I made the mistake of ordering just 1 pound...which we received....and promptly buzzed through in less than a day.

Stupid me...I had to place another order ;)

I'm not making that mistake again!

You've got an order coming your way...I'm making sure I have enough for us...and others who might be worthy of getting some toffee love this holiday season.

Thanks for starting up the production line again and for the generous IH8MUD discount. :)

I don't like almonds but I am tempted to get this stuff anyway, it sounds yummy, and everyone's stories about it, is making my mouth water!

don't make the mistake I did...don't order too little, then be mad at yourself when you find out you can't order more...

I got three lbs of this fat spreading concoction a couple of days ago... and will end up ordering 3 more pounds of it...

It's like crack. And I'm a crack whore.
