Newly rebuilt engine including completely rebuilt fuel system. I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains @ 5000 ft above sea level so the ambient overnight temperature varies depends on the season. Now morning temperature is about 40-45.How cold is it? How worn is your engine? Are all your glow plugs working correctly? I would guess like a minute - see if it wants to start. No then add another half minute and try again.

Thank you for your responseIt sounds like a minute is way more than enough. I'm at 4000 and when its -25 the local diesels don't want to start unless they are plugged in. I usually plug my stuff in for at least 3 hours when its that cold.
Pardon me. Thank you for your response.

What is the temperature where you live and thanks for your responseNot sure this is helpful but my B only needs 15-18 seconds for start-up when stone cold. Usually no glow-plug warm up is needed when the engine is warm.
I'm in South Texas so climate is humid and warm to hot for 10 months Winters are short and usually uneventful. What is the temperature where you live and thanks for your response
