cold start noise (piston slap?) (1 Viewer)

i'm getting this type of noise from my 97 . it just started to happen over the weekend. the only thing i did was wash off some some spilled brake fluid from the reservior area and sprayed the rest of the engine to remove pollen. now the noise goes away after a couple of seconds but it doesnt sound really heathy for the engine. has anyone experienced this before after a wash down or from any other work done to the engine? this also could be a coincedence(sp) and now have some upcoming trobles ahead. miles 119,000 ???

I started getting a cold start up noise depending on how I parked my junk on my very steep driveway. I switched to 10W-40 and it stopped. I suspect a leaking down timing chain tensioner, but I really don't know for sure.
