I am sending in my application today.

I just got back from RC and EV after going to the 4Runner Jambo this weekend and am happy to report the new shower trailer is finished and very nice. The trailer and everything inside is clean and new.

They have been doing more clear cutting at RC and the "Stout" trail is no more. For those thinking about camping at RC... I would reconsider. Unless you camp in the old area by the old office you are camping in a dust bowl with no tree cover getting cooked by the afternoon sun. Add to this the constant truck traffic driving past creating clouds of dust as they enter and leave the park. They moved the entrance/office and staging area to where the man made comp section is. If they let you camp in the old area it could be pleasant but the new area is not so nice IMHO.

Looking forward to another great CMCC!

So who's going?

I doubt I can take Thurs and Fri off.

Might be just a day trip for me.

Working for the man sucks.

No lie on the dust bowl newer camp area, we'll need to bring tarps/hoopties for shade next time we camp at RC. Last 2x I checked with Lynn, she said lower/old camping area is off limits, as it's not their property. Maybe someone can persuade her, as Jeff had no such luck.

Good news on the EV shower sitrep. Light at the end of a tunnel is always good times.

Treeless wheeling really takes away from the experience, but there's not a lot of choices out there.

Sounds like you had a good time at EC4J!

The 4th falling on a Friday made the following week very popular to have off.
13 years of seniority at work wasn't enough:mad:

The red jeep was not part of CMCC. He claimed a beetle flew in his window! On new green trail J-1. Thanks to George and his gear bag they were able to re-right it and drive it back to the staging area. No one was hurt thankfully. It was a good lesson in proper winching techniques.
