Folks! We are just about 6 weeks out from the event, and registration closes July 3. For the second year in a row, there will be 4, count 'em 4, days of wheeling. We have some excellent supporting vendors lined up again and with fantastic donations already piling up.

Stop waiting! Register!

I just registered! Should be great fun, all types of trails, all types of drivers. And it's less than an hour from my house!

Remembering last year on Wednesday, we just about had the whole park to ourselves. So awesome. :steer:

What are you waiting for? An engraved invitation?
Fine. Consider yourself personally invited to the largest Toyota 4x4 event on the east coast. Those of you who know will be there and have already registered.
Those of you who don’t know, please take the time and check out the event details here:
http://gclcny.com/events/CMCC/info.html

This is our 14th year and we’re getting pretty damn good at it.
It’s a GCLC event so you know the food will be great.
The event HQ is Twin Grove Campground so you know the facilities will be great.
The wheeling is at Rausch Creek Off Road Park, so you know that will be great too.

So really now…what are you waiting for??

I'll probably be going. Anyone from monmouth county nj area going and wanna drive out together? Doubt ill do all 4 days but at least 2

So it says I'm registered, but I had a technical issue (fat fingers accidentally hit the back button) before I could submit payment through PayPal. What now?

I don't see that you're registered. Re-register, if you show up twice in the database I'll fix it.

Don't hit the back button, you probably did that from the review page before it actually set the data to the database.

If you're paying by PayPal, it will eventually take you to the PayPal page and when you're done you'll get a registration conformation email.

A friendly reminder that registration closes in just over 2 weeks. Don't wait 'til the last minute.

We have 2 special presentations lined up this year

Radio Tech session presented by Ed Morthimer
Date: Thursday July 18th 2013
Time: 7:30pm
Location: GCLC camping area at Twin Grove Campground

Ed will discuss the following:
  • The technical differences between CB and VHF radio communications: frequencies, transmit power & range, modulation, antennas, etc.
  • The operational differences between commercial VHF and Amateur (or Ham) VHF radio
  • Types and costs of Amateur and commercial VHF radios
  • FCC rules & licenses
  • Radio modifications
  • VHF antenna types, mounting location pros & cons and SWR
  • Tips & techniques for wiring DC power to the radio

A Group Discussion With Noted Land Cruiser Guru Jim Chenoweth
Date: Friday July 19th 2013
Time: 7:30pm
Location: GCLC camping area at Twin Grove Campground

Jim will select 3 CMCC particpants to line up their Cruisers to evaluate current & future repairs & modifications. Audience participation is encouraged as we consider the safety, ease and effectiveness of various techniques for fixing up this old Cruiser. The goal is to learn what is right (and occasionally wrong) and why. Jim C will moderate this group directed discussion, so bring your Cruiser for possible consideration and bring your ideas.
