I would suggest backing in thru the gate, and unloading prior to that...it'll just be easier.

I've got two new sets of 5.29's sitting in my shop. :flipoff2:

Where'd you order from?

I'm still running 4.88's. couldn't afford to upgrade to 5.29's and still go.... I just got an email saying they are on my front porch now! :bounce:

Hells Revenge/Fins N Things will have the Sand Flats access fee...get the yearly pass (valuewise, if you run it 2-3 times, it's worth it). Pass is purchased at the entrance....$20-25 per vehicle, maybe? Can't recall anymore :) I have one and use it on multiple vehicles. Good for one year.

Most of the rest are open roads/trails, no permits required. AreaBFE is free but has a donation box. Pritchett Canyon has a per-day fee ($5ea maybe?).

Beer: VERY VERY important!! Buy this in CO or NV or anywheres NOT in UT. And Danny likes Coors Light, and prefers his from out of state too ;)

I "should" be in Thurs prior to anyone else arriving...Gary, Mark and I are going to UTV it for a few days and I'll stay for M-T to wheel as well.

When I was at Danny's the other night, he mentioned some big party coming in (25 people) one night while you guys were there...since you are guests, you can attend :) ProComp maybe? Can't remember, but some offroad corporate group.

The sushi place in Moab is impressive, BTW...and Sallie is a hilarious waitress :)

Woody thanks for info and setting us up at Grandpas
Jason and I plan to arrive Sunday afternoon, I have looked at the place on Google Earth and appears to be plenty of room to get the 4 car trailer in and turned around if there are not to many other rigs scattered about, remember the cluster in Black Hills, please let me know when you get there if we need to do any thing special like unloading out on Highway.

Yes - Thanks! Seems the fees are pretty nominal. Good info.

Looks like I'll need to bring a self addressed return envelope with me to support the more extreme side of things too!

Got my leave/vacation technically approved by "Uncle Sam" so I'm all in. I expect to arrive mid-day Sunday. I've been watching the weather on the phone app and unless it cools off a great deal out in Moab...its going to be rather hot, guess we'll see. Work day on the 60 tomorrow.

We were just there...no AC needed...evenings cool off nicely.

When you're checking the weather look at the humidity, today it was 90 but the humidity was 7% which is a lot more comfortable than the 70% we had were today.

I'll take 100+ with <10% humidity over 80 & 80% any day. As long as you can find a bit of shade, you can manage to be comfortable.

@woody - Does Danny have a large grill and/or a smoker we can use while there? @ajordan1975 got me thinking and I think at least once we should do up a big BBQ.

swapped brake pads front and rear, swapped in new trail gear steering gear, new fan belt, misc other stuff. Best steering I've ever had...we'll see what happens, new front shocks that I've had around for a while. Got to see about fixing or replacing winch fairlead...I hammered it on some trail in the past. On deck...wire up my new front powered seats and hit the heater core if possible. Going to ride around a bit to make sure I'm good and then its on to packing. Got to install my new trailer break-away and grease everything and ensure the trailer is good.

How many of yall have "street legal" rigs? As in who will be towing everyday to the trail head?

Also, anyone bringing kids? My wife won't let me go unless I take one so I'm bringing my 4 year old sidekick that loves wheeling!

I think most everyone will be tagged. We won't have far to drive for the trails, or lead-in trails, most of the time I think. Where we're staying is far enough south of town that it won't be a big issue anyway IMO.

I'm "tagged" but I'll not be in the hardcore group runs....

Sounds like a fun trip. Woody and I and some fellow Colorado folks are meeting you guys in Moab.....If anyone has room on a trailer to bring me a RZR 4 seater to Moab, I will pay your fuel costs and some lunch money. Sounds like Nolen may be picking it up for us and will have it at his house. Call or Text me eightoneseventhreezerosevensixonefourone. Gary

Gary, I would be glad to help you if my trailer were longer....I may be one of the only guys coming out from AL/MS with a trailer. I just don't see having enough room on my rig for a 4 seater..rzr.

The four trucks on the big trailer are tagged, taking the 4 car to trail heads is not practical.

Getting tags next week, street legal... not remotely. Still wondering about the no doors issue but not gonna worry about it now.

I was guessing we may need to anticipate where the ProComp truck will want to be - if it's going to be a semi like I'm picturing - and arrange our stuff to make it an easy in & out for him. Of course I'll need to be able to get out sometime around that middle weekend too though; mine is pretty maneuverable though.

As I'm thinking about how much beer to bring for me and for Danny, I'm starting to wonder if it might behoove me/us to try to get a keg. I've never gotten one, but I can already tell that it'll save everyone a TON of money if we can make it happen. Ideas, thoughts?

Just as a place to start in case this idea goes anywhere: I don't mind Coors, that Danny likes, as well as Yeungling, that I know Roger likes.

Thats a very good idea, probably much cheaper than cases. Whats a keg go for these days?

A keg is about $110. Problem is you have to haul it both ways and going out needs to be kept cold
I don't have space to do that.
I will bring some Coors for Danny.
