Here are some of my pictures from CMCC. I had to skip out on the last day but had a blast meeting a bunch of new people and seeing some friendly faces:beer:

Great pics tony. Wish I could've come. Thanks for sharing

Indeed--

This is a GREAT event that was well attended, well-planned, well-organized, and the weather was beautiful. GCLCNY did an incredible job.

Great people as well. The cruiser community ceases to amaze me with its generosity and good will.

Met lots of MUD people I've only known via screen name. It was nice to put a name, truck and face together....

Got some breakage though: USDS front fender flare, rocker damage, new, heavy duty leak in my xfer case front output seal.....argh...

Isaac Eliot-Fisher was also there and took a otn of video. I think he will be selling a DVD of it. Get it!! It'll be worth it.

A parting nursery rhyme for the great Burl:

Burl and his birfield sitting on a tree.
B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G
First come moly,
Then comes Grease
Then comes Burl with a smile on his face.

:flipoff2:

Till next year.

Likewise, we had a blast. Very well organized event and much appreciation goes to the organizers, sponsors and all. This was our first time ever into a TLC sanctioned event. And my first time with the whole family. It was fabulous.

Cmcc 2006

This was posted on the GCLC mailing list:

Just want to thank all those at GCLC that made this years CMCC a great success.

Special thanks to Brian O and Matt for the, as usual, perfect spotting for my "I'm not going to wheel it" daily driver.

For those that missed it, the FJ Cruiser exceeded expectations. Yes you can wheel it stock. Imagine a lift and some real tires.

Thanks to the FJ Cruiser Trail Team for the food and giveaways and wheeling with us and letting us get the FJ dirty.

For those interested, some pictures:

bob (76fj40) - once again - thanks for the tug across the Paragon - I now remember what it was like to have no power steering. I'm just glad I didn't ass-end you coming down some of those decents :grinpimp:

The :princess: and I had a great time. She even digs camping now, whoo hoo!

At any rate there are several thank you's that need to be mentioned. A huge thank you to Brian from GCLC , without all of his time and effort this event would not have happened. Even though I didn't get a chance to drive the FJ this weekend or the previous (at Rausch Creek) here's a thank you to all the folks from the FJ Cruiser Trail Team for coming along wheeling with us and feeding us Friday night. Thanks to Owner (beno) for the selection of trails he took us on Friday. We certainly got our fill of hairy chested guys on Friday:D. You missed a great time sweating our asses off on Whompum. Thank you to all the other guys that helped out with spotting (not good with names). A special thanks to Jon and Mark for the great spotting Saturday and the awesome hospitality both at the campground and on the trail. You guys sure helped me out with wheeling damage free on Saturday. :princess: is now into the camping thing after the good times we had at the campground. We'll have to continue the discussion about 2007's CMCC.

I can't forget Chris and his trucker imitation on the radio. I'm still laughing days later.

Dan, I know you're not on MUD very often but but your Runner is sweet. Must be nice to point and shoot. "Captain, we need lower tire pressure!!"

For all that missed it, you missed a great time on the trail and at the campground. Make plans to attend next year. Oh, remember the kleenex, coal dust makes interesting boogers.:D
