Working on getting the clutch adjusted after reworking the flywheel. This is on my 1962 FJ40 with a SM420 conversion.
I noticed that the release bearing is spinning at idle. I adjusted everything to the factory FSM. With the engine shutoff I can spin the release bearing with no clearance problems.
I'm thinking when the engine is running the pressure plate levers are being pushed out from centrifugal force and making contact with the release bearing?
Has anyone had that happen? I know there's a little up and down play in their fingers so I can see that happening.
If that's the case do you all see anything wrong with leaving it as is?
