A few days ago I noticed that the clutch pedal is a bit harder then normal. I checked the fluid and had to add a bit. As far as master and slave, they were replaced about 3 years ago. The ruck has 205,000km. After adding the fluid, I didn't feel any better. Its not too bad, but would be nice to have a softer pedal.

Thanks,
Alex

vaccuum problem? is it sort of like when you pump the clutch with the engine off? first couple its soft, then as you run out of vaccuum it gets harder...

cheers,
ryan

I've been away for a couple of weeks and I'm just catching up. Forgive me if this has been solved already in your brake thread, Alex. You have a vacuum problem in that rig for sure. That is causing your hard clutch pedal and your intermittent brake warning light. I hope its not your vaccuum pump but if you wind up needing one, PM me I have a couple NIB ones. They are stupid expensive from the dealer.

Clutch pedal feels a bit harder then normal (85 BJ70) - UPDATE!!

Drove withouth the booster for a few days, no problem at all. Clutch booster seal was toast. I was able to order it from Cruiserdan, part number 44621-28120, price is $7.33. Replaced the seal, clean the rod and both brakes and clutch work perfectly!!!!!!
