when I depress my clutch pedal it "clucks". Sounds like it is coming from the top of the pedal arm. The pin or bushing...thingy?? a zinc plated fat cylindrical piece with a bolt running through it. The pedal arm pivots on it.

What is it called? I can't find it in the FSM.

Can I just loosen the bolt and pull it out?

I tried tightening the nut on it and it quieted just a little but still makes noise if I depress the clutch fast.

These are the parts of the pivot. If there was a plastic bushing in there that's FUBAR or gone, that may be the culprit.

Good catch.

There are a couple of spots that could be missing bushings.

Loosened the bolt ...sprayed some white lithium grease on the bushings. Quieted things down for about an hour of driving but then started back up with intermittent cluck. Guess I will be swinging by the parts department again.

The parts are still available new, I did mine a month ago. Don't have the part numbers to verify those above...

Mine made same sound and I replaced my master cylinder with Aisin part and no more clucking noise. My slave cylinder was new so didn'. Need to replace..inexpensive and took about an hour bleeding it by myself. Did you check your floor mat to see if there was any fluid under floor mat?

Little bit of wetness on the pedal side of the master where the rod goes in it from the pedal. Aisin master cylinder ordered!!!

If you ever down in Hampton Roads with your rig, PM man...see if we can get to take some pics of the Red and White cruisers.

Update: Installed the clutch master today. NO DIFFERENCE! Had a helper push on the clutch pedal while I went under the truck. The clucking is in the clutch. I thing it's worn too. In neutral when I start my truck the idle is up but when I release the clutch..still in neutral the rpms go down and it wants to stall. This only when cold. Clutch kit ordered.

How about the spring on the back of the pedal. Could it be catching on something.

I wish. No, I've had that off to replace pedal arm bushings etc. Not that. Definately coming from the bell housing.

Follow up: This clucking noise was the clutch fork located in the clutch housing. Easily accessed via the inspection cover. I greased the contact pivot ball and the base of the clutch for where it contacts the slave cylinder. I used NLGI 2 grease per the FSM.

Full disclosure though ..i did pull out the transmission, remove the clutch etc to work on other things, but I do think you can grease these points without disassembly.
