Does the BJ70 and BJ71 share the same clutch master cylinder and if so does anyone have the Toyota part number for this item?
Thanks.....1978HJ45

Not necessarily... need a chassis number and market to figure that out.

Also, is it boosted or non-boosted?

1988 BJ71 (JDM) ...BJ710001013 and the clutch is boosted.
John if you need additional information just let me know and I call your work number.

BJ710001013
06/1988 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER (BJ71V-MNX)
LX JPN HT 13BT MTM

p/n 31415-60010

I have the units for the HZJ series. They have the same bolt pattern, but are aluminum (and I find that Al cylinders usually last longer) and do not have the provision for bolting on the heat shield at the front of the bore. The tube also comes out the side and not the to, but that's an easy bend to fix.

I'll see if stock of the BJ71 & 74 version is available.

I assume even with the aluminum version the heat shield is required?

Correction on the part number:

31401-60042

That does not appear to be a boosted clutch - no room for the booster with the turbo in the way

The booster is on the clutch pedal itself....kinda strange, I know.

Booster is behind the firewall, master is available new from Toyota

I have provided the part numbers to my local Toyota dealer and all I got was a "deer in the headlight" look so I assume the clutch master cylinder will have to come out of Canada.

Nope, it's been de-listed (production canceled as of 2009).
