Clutch Cylinder Question - 1970 FJ55 (1 Viewer)

I have a 1970 FJ55 and the clutch cylinder is bad. Here are my questions:

This question is pretty much the same as my brake master cylinder question

1. Do I need a FJ55 specific one or will the FJ40 one work as well?

2. What is a good brand? There is an AISIN but it is twice as expensive as the Centric. CENTRIC makes one. The part number is 136.44411 and says it is specific to the FJ55 model. Do you guys have any experience with this brand?

3. Who makes a good rebuild kit? I would rebuild it if I can find a good kit as well.

My limited experience has been that I bought off brands twice not knowing and they didn’t work. I went w an Aisin unit and had no further problems.

Whichever way you go, most likely, you should do the slave at the same time.
