I am working on putting a 350 into my cruiser. I was curious if anyone knew where to find a bracket to use my stock clutch piston attached to a gm fork. Any info is great.

What kit/whose parts/transmission are you using? This will determine who if anyone has what you are looking for.

Advance Adapters and Downey both may be sources for this.

From Downey Off-Road

i am putting a gm sbc 350 with a stock clutch from auto zone. I am really trying to find the adapter that puts the original slave cylinder in position to use the stock clutch fork that was attached to the fork.

it seems that downey is out of buisness so if anyone has something like that it would be really helpfull

You didn't state what belhousing or transmission you have. The AA belhousing to a 4-speed Toy trans has threaded holes to mount the clutch slave cylinder, thus no bracket needed. I can't speak for the later Downey but the earlier Downey SBC-toy trans belhousing required the above mount.

I know of no other source. The part is very, very simple. Make it yourself in 20 minutes.

i am using a sm420 bolted to a chevy bell housing mounted to my SBC. The only thing i kept yota was the Xfer case. People have told me about this bracket so that the stock slave cylinder can be bolted onto it then attached to a gm clutch fork instead of running the manual linkage all over the truck.

if its a chevy bellhousing its basicly a flat plate with 4 holes in it.2 holes where it bolts to the bell and 2 lower holes for the slave about 4 " square .good luck
