So my LX developed this metallic sounding clunk when I'm pulling out of my driveway to the right or when making a hard left or right turn anywhere after stopping. Sounds/feels/seems like it would be something to do with the sway bar but climbing under it, nothing appears to be broken or detached.

Any ideas what to look for?

The panhard (lateral) rod on the back of my LX was sloppy in its hole and occasionally clanks. Not sure what the fix is, but I left it for now. The driver's side end of the bar or attachment has a little play in it. Tightening the bolt will not help.

If you hear a clunk with the wheels at full lock, the first thing I like to check is the stopper on the backside of the front, lower control arms. sometimes when I am at full lock and the vehicle rocks side to side those stoppers will get hung up and make a noise. A bit of grease / rubber cap is the solution

Good easy place to start with checking

Otherwise, IDK. Can you re-create the noise by getting a few fat friends to rock the vehicle side to side to try and narrow it down?

Here are a few things it could be:

-body hitting slider mounts as it flex
-lose or worn top shock mounts (front or rear)
-worn sway bar bushings or end links (even if they’re tight)
-diff drop that needs to be tightened
