I have a good friend who has a screen printing shop in MB and she heard we had a club and offered to make us some shirts. I quickly came up with a standard design and got a quote from her. The shirt is a very simple design that I thought would be nice for everyone to purchase, and then in the future use them for raffles or include them in new membership.

The design is simply a white either long sleeve or short (we can mix and match in the order as well as change shirt colors) with our logo on the front breast. The white shirt will give the color on the FJ40 and also the Low Country Land Cruisers letters. On the back in either black or blue we would have "After Land Cruiser, everthing changed." Or anything else you guys can up with.

If we changed the shirt color it would affect the front logo, or we would have to add another screen charge for the white. Once these are setup we can order future shirts and make a good profit. The min. to start is 48. The screen charge and artwork will get taken care of in the first order, so future orders will turn a pretty good profit for the club. So what do you say guys? If everyone ordered 2 we would be there. Maybe even the UC guys will help support us and we can get a nice first order together and raise a little money.

Cost:
White s-xl short sleeve $11
White s-xl long sleeve $13

Color s-xl short sleeve $12
Color s-xl long sleeve $14

Let me know what you guys think.

can you get a proof or anything to show us at the meeting? then we can have a vote. Sounds like good idea though...

2Xon a good idea. Let's investigate and then decide.

i am just hesitant on anything white for an outdoor organization....call me messy marvin...or pigpen. LOL

Any color you want, there cheap either way. It's just $25 to add the white to the screen. I will find out more info tomorrow.

Remember that you will sell some shirts, and give some away which will hurt your bottom line as far as profit. I wouldn't plan on making much money from a LC shirt but it woudl be GREAT to see a bunch of guys in club shirts at a function.

I don't know if UC has ever really made any money off of club shirts - but event shirts is another thing. Event shirts can make money as long as the cost per shirt is low and you sell all or most of your shirts. From what I have seen the simpler the design the better because they will cost less to produce and appeal to a larger crowd. Also, don't put too much ink on a shirt b/c it can become sticky in the great SC heat and humidity we love.

With that said - my favorite shirts so far are the old UC shirts and the OMT 08 shirt.

White is nice to wear around but not to be around a cruiser in.

We could do the blue shirt and save the blue screening. We would then have white letters, and a white surround of the state. The back letters would be white as well. I think if we do it we should stick to one color and offer short and long. The prices are actually less than posted above, I just wanted to give the club a chance to modify it for profit if needed. Just thought it would be nice to have a club shirt that we gave people when they became a member.

What would the cost be to the club per shirt including any set-up fees? You could probably get something pretty nice for $10 or less.

If membership fees are only $15 per person then a $10 shirt and $1-2 in decals would pretty much take all of that away and not leave much for the club to operate on.

I like the idea of a LC shirt very much - post up a shot of the design when you get a chance.

Remember the Cotton Exchange already has the screen done for the front of a shirt. Might want to get them to quote also.

I like white. It's cheaper because you don't need another color. I really don't care if it shows dirt. That just adds character to it.

Got a final price from the co., and they said they can do the blue which takes care of the state graphic. Then the letters will be in white, with a white/black 40 like on the decal. The letters on the back will be either white/black. She offered to put the logo on the back as well, but that would be to hot, so for simplicity and cost it would be:

State blue shirt
LC logo on front left breast
(After Land Cruiser, everything changed.) on the back

She can do prints on sleeves on long shirts for .75 additional sleeve. At first I thought about doing something on the sleeves but thought it might turn out to cheesy. If you wanted to add Lowcountry Land Cruisers coming down each sleeve with maybe a line above and below it, it should be easy to add.

To get a proof I would have to pay the art fees, $50. So I am not going to do that. It should be fairly easy to visualize the shirt to get some commited before ordering.

If anyone wants we should either start posting who wants what and how many, or I will drop this and let the higher ups take over.

My suggestion is to offer them at cost and accept donations to the club. The cost of a short would be about $9 and a long would be $10.50 plus tax. Hard to beat for a cruiser shirt.

No, problem David. They have a 100% cotton collar shirt that she can mix in as well. They will run $3-$4 more.

She said the blue shirt would be a little tough do with the logo screen, so she reccomended a new gray/silver shirt that came out. She said it is a silver frost color that would look nice on the blue state and black truck. It would be just like the boil shirts using the color of the shirt for the letters and truck outline.

Did you say we could get long sleeve as well or does that need to be a different order?:D

Any color other than the blue in the logo, long, short, or collar. We can mix/match colors and shirt styles. Doesn't matter how we get to 48 as long as we get there. I will post up a link shortly for the color and shirt styles.
