Has anyone thought about a page on the club site and/or a sticky here with a roster of the club officers and their email contact info?
I'm working on the windshield cards and was looking for an email to put down... the other option is to leave a space for individual email addresses.

I had good success with a form on the website for those interested in becoming a member that asked them for some info and sent an email to the membership officer to let him know there was a potential new member.

What do you guys think?

i think we've brought this up at the meetings before. There was some apprehension about posting an official roster. now that we are a limited liability i feel we should look at this again.
I'd love to post a stickied thread with some general club information like a mission statement, history, officer list with contact info, member list( maybe limited to alias), potential member info, direct links to paypal for dues renewal and the amount clearly listed. Stuff like that.
I know there are a lot of lurkers in our forum, some of that i have talked to that have been looking for further information.

Get this type of stuff brought up during a meeting and passed, then i'll sticky the thread!
Webmaster "Emorth" should be able to create an information page on the official club website as well.

It might be helpful to at least have some first names matched up with screen names. I know I have a hard time knowing whos who at events.

Try out the paypal link and pay that way. Post up your experience.

E. all of the above!
No your wrong that's not how you spell your name!

Just tried the PayPal link off the web sight with my IPhone.
It was combersome the PayPal link takes you to PayPal but then you have to punch in the appropriate address. The address takes me to my email.
BUT. I am using my IPhone so that could be the cause.

And speaking of club dues. Was club dues $25 monthly? I thought I read that somewhere. I'd like to be a club member but would like to know what other steps I need to take to become one.

Thanks gentlemen. I'm looking forward to hittin' the trail with you guys 4/7.

yup, club dues should be $25, but yearly.
I believe that new members need to be voted in at a meeting, but i don't have a copy of the bylaws in front of me so i'm not sure. "StaleAle" Sourbeer will know.

Club dues are $25. No vote is required at this time... maybe something to offer at the next meeting so you can meet the prospective member before he pays his dues and decide if you want him/her.

Also, new members are encouraged (possibly required) to also have an active TLCA membership.

I'm grandfathered in the club right!
Can you still vote me out?
This is awkward!

$25 a year you can't beat it!
Plus the TLCA Membership $25.

We can discuss this at the next meeting but IMHO we have never been an exclusive club and have welcomed all interested parties. I would hate to see that change.

Heck, we even let a guy join who drives an ISUZU to the meetings!

Not trying to be exclusive, by any means, but I think a club is only as good as it's PARTICIPATING members and a prospective
We had rules that included making one meeting and a trail ride (as passenger or driver) or tech day and having a sponsor recommend you for membership at the next meeting after yuo satisfied the membership requirements. Then we voted. But we wheeled A LOT and wanted people who were interested in wheeling, or at least open to the potential of taking their rig out on a trail. We were small and were still getting used to organizing the dozen members we had and grew slowly to ensure we maintained a core of members invested in the club's success.

All clubs are different and it seems to me CLCC is in good shape as is and if it ain't broke...
