Thoroughly enjoyed the article and the photos! I'd like to join Red Hills once I get relocated to central Florida.
Come on ……. 😁

Everyone should have received a “renewal” notice for continuing membership in Red Hills. Unfortunately not everyone renewed their membership. If this was just an oversight, I highly encourage you to renew.
The club is nothing without members.
Thanks

As the summer months are upon us, also are the opportunities to ride the Alapaha Riverbed. Would there be interest in doing another or multiple rides this summer season? I will be keeping an eye on the water level in preparation to ride.
Also, I would like to ride the Deep South Adventure Trail, South Georgia Adventure Loop, and the Pan Handle Adventure Trail. These are multi-day rides but splitting them up could be done for day trips. I have a little more freedom from work on the weekends and would like to help host a few rides this year. If any of these are of interest please let me know.
I would also like to host another overnight weekend trip. I’d like to hear from the club on places you’d like to go. I have some ideas, but let’s hear yours!!

UPDATE: We plan to meet at 9:30 and hopefully leave no later than 10:00 on Saturday. Hope to see y’all there

I have a few things to catch up on so I’ll be postponing my trip from Tallahassee to Panacea until Saturday July 1. My plan is to enter the ANF outside of the Tallahassee Airport and to exit the ANF onto Hwy 375 just west of Sopchoppy. I will continue southeast from there heading into Panacea, to eat lunch at Angelo’s Seafood or The Seineyard Rock Landing; depending on what time we get there. Please join if you can, the ride through the ANF is roughly 40 miles and I’m guesstimating 2-3 hours on trail with a lunch on the water. The GPX file will be included in the comment section as well as in the Files on the club page.

Meeting Address: Sunoco Gas Station
6011 Springhill Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32305

Hopefully this ride will appeal to our members in the Panhandle as well as those in Southeast Alabama. 😊

Just want to give an update on the Saturday ANF ride. For those attending or planning to attend; a majority of the route has not been test driven. This route was something I came up with via Gaia, using marked and numbered Forest service roads. There may be detours or some rerouting depending on road closures. So please bare with me if this happens. It should not be hard to reroute as most of us have Gaia, OnX, etc. We will exit the forest service roads just Northeast of Sopchoppy, with about a 14 mile ride into Panacea. More than likely planning to eat at The Seineyard Rock Landing, it has good reviews and is also on the water! If you have GMRS or HAM please bring it with you, it makes trail communication much easier. For reference on the length of the ride; our Aucilla WMA route is 43 miles and the ANF route is 39 miles on trail and another 14 miles to where we’ll eat. I have tried to shorten the ride in hopes of accommodating all of our members. Hope to see y’all there.

Gave the Seineyard Restaurant a test run today. Great food and view. 👍

My trusty steed and I are headed your way. Should arrive at 9:30am.

Oh yeah man. I got outta there just in time it looks like! Y’all have fun and post pics
I think we’ll be seeing these particular trails for the first time (although Johnny Richardson may be familiar with them) so it should be interesting. Sayer has “come running out of the gate” trying to find new places for club events. 👍

A few photos from today. The FJCruiser belongs to one of our new members that made the trek over from Geneva, AL. The lack of rain produced a lot of dust which rendered some of the photos useless. ☹️
