For those of you who are TLCA members (hopefully that’s everyone) and have not received your September / October edition of “Toyota Trails”, the magazine has been electronically loaded on TLCA’s website and has the Alapaha River article. 😊

I was sitting around (something I can now do) trying to remember our club events to date. Here is the list (in no particular order).
* Lunch gathering … Bradley’s Store (we’ve done this twice)
* Aucilla River WMA rides (multiple times)
* Classic Land Cruiser tour …. Thomasville Toyota
* Recovery Class & Lunch
* Comm Class ... Reed Bingham Park
* Alapaha River Ride
* Talladega National Forest trail ride (in November)

What do all of these events have in common? They were all organized and promoted by individual club members. 😁
So in other words, if you have thoughts on future events, let’s hear from you. 😊

For those of you that have a high tolerance for the smell of “gear oil” Thomasville’s Rover Rally is scheduled for November.
A few of us crashed their party last year with vehicles that don’t leak oil.

In 9 days we’ll be heading to Talladega NF. I plan for those of us leaving from Thomasville to meet at the Chic-Fil-A and Tractor Supply at the corner of Hwy 19 and 122. I would like to plan to leave around 9:00-9:30 EST from Thomasville. It’s roughly 4.5-5 hours to Cheaha State Park from Thomasville. That should put us there between 1:00-2:00 CST, depending on stops along the way. If we have any 100 series owners, like myself joining us, we’ll be stopping for gas along the way. My goal is to get checked into the park, find our campsites, and then rendezvous with all of the members within the park before heading to 600-1.

600-1 will be an easier drive, from what I’ve gathered, after a day full of travels. 600-2 will be our goal for Saturday, offering more of a challenging ride, so to speak, with some slight off camber areas as well as deep ruts that cut through the road.

This is my first opportunity to ride these roads, so this will all be a new experience for myself as well as some of you. Lee is planning to join us, and has been here a few times. Hopefully he’ll have a few spots to share with us.

Thank you to everyone who has made arrangements and plans to be able to join us on our first overnight trip. A member of Dixieland Cruisers has made mention of joining if we’d like to invite them. We hope to see y’all there, original members as well as new! Safe travels!

Inviting others (in this case from Dixieland Cruisers) just seems like the neighborly thing to do and having someone with local knowledge would be a plus.

Coffee pot has been programmed for tomorrow morning and the beef jerky and moon pies are in the truck so I think I’m ready. 😊

Whish we could have made it last weekend but I couldn't be in two places at once. A couple buddies and I went up to finish the Georgia Traverse. We started last year but we were unable to finish so headed back up with our kids. It's a good time and I highly recommend the trip. Some of the prettiest mountains in the south.

If yall have any intrest planing a trip like this give me a shout.

Im looking forward to the next club meet up.

What section of the Traverse?

What section of the Traverse?
This time we started just east of Dalton GA and went around the big frog loop into Tennessee and finished up just south of Blairsville GA. Last year we started in South Carolina and went west until we ran our of time south of Blue Ridge. So we've hit some of the trail twice with the overlap.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving. 😊
