I think we as a club should see how much $$$ we can raise to help H4H build new houses for the victims of Katrina.

Whatever you can spare.
I realize gas/energy prices are going up, but like RHINO sez, skip the titty bar one night and donate what you save. :D
We'll be taking the donations at the next meeting.

MadBaggins- do you mind taking them in Tucson?

If you can't make it to the meeting, feel free to mail em to me (checks only, please. Cash + mail = bad).

Please make checks payable to Habitat for Humanity International.

Thank you all for any support you can offer.

Not that it wouldn't be cool to have our name on a house or two, but that's not why I decided to do this.
I'm sure you know that, tho.

I once volunteered with H4H. We built a small subdivision in Raleigh/Durham.
It was one of the coolest and most rewarding experiences of my young life.

My company donates product on a regular basis to H4H. Plumbing stuff. Always a good cause!
I'll be glad to take any donations at the next Tucson meet on the 9th and then I'll send them up to you.

Interesting that you post this - Me and desertgirl66 are heading to that area to use our skills and time and team up with H4H for a few weeks when they are ready. I will drop some additional help to you in the mail for the club donation.

Thanks Jonathan for putting this together ;)

How about an H4H club run. Each member donates a ten spot (or more) and then we do a trail run. That's it, plain and simple. You wanna donate a few bucks and have a great excuse to wheel... there it is.

Hey, just name the time and place, we're down!

Due to the lack of a formal meeting last month, I have decided to extend this drive until the end of this month.

For those of you who have already donated, thank you very much.
For those that have not, please consider doing so.

Thank you all.

With the weather cooling off, this is more appealing.
We could even do it in AJ/Florence, before all our favorite trails out there become paved subdivisions.

Do it in AJ/Florence and I am pretty sure i will be in.

Put me down, H4H is one of the only organizations I would donate money to. This is an excellent opportunity to REALLY know where your money is going. Its been a rough month but I will donate as much as I can at the next phoenix meeting.

If you cannot do anything else, go to Stardust Building Materials in Mesa or Phx. They sell used appliances, bathtubs, ceiling fans, computers, cabinets, doors, windows and everything else to benefit H4H. You can also donate any of the above and more. You can get real toilets that flush more than a quart of water each time. They have all kinds of things for your home. You may even find furniture there.
I have bought from and donated to them for some time now.
They also have a store in Prescott. That one is better and more extensive than our Valley locals. They have more in furniture and lighting and are more organized. The name in Prescott is Habitat Building Supply located on Commerce Dr.
They are great folks and very helpful. I recommend them for both service and social responsibility.
