Why do you say they are useless? How much for 1 complete assy?

like others said they only indicate up to 35 degrees or something like that, I've had mine go full tilt on a couple occasions in my LJ70 and never put the truck on its side. The rollover angle will depend on many factors like what the ground surface is made of, the momentum of the truck and what the driver is doing.
They add a bit of coolness factor though, and makes the passengers wonder why they just climbed in the truck when you explain what they are intended for
Last one I sold was 120€ + shipping without the dash padding. Both I have are in grey.

As everyone is hung different I don't think I want to try that method

i thought the bigger the truck the smaller the...
oh that is why big trucks are on their side so much the "inclimeter" are faulty...

I didn't realize that they only indicate up to 35 degrees. That would make them kind of "useless". I guess I'll just get one of those TLCA cheapies. I wanted it for reference more then anything else.

When my cruiser went it was over 45.
That is freaking steep if you think about it.

I had a canoe on the roof, which was not helping, but I did have two people on the passenger side to help weigh it down the other direction, but all my crap in the back flew to the wrong side which did not help. Like others said, lots of things contribute. But they have to be steep. If hit 20 now I am getting really worried. I know the 70 will roll easier than my 80. It's taller and narrower.

Nick,45 is nothing... unless you forget to turn into the roll then it becomes something...
personally i think that inexperience was your downfall. you need to come wheeling with us out here and get some free experience...


the 70 is a very stable rig, but the Mits Jeep kicks ass on all the cruisers for side hill stability

I had a ride in one of those mitz jeeps on labour day weekend...fricking awesome. Never been so scared/had so much fun in a 4X4.
