Kudos to the Cline co. I have a had vibration noise from my drive shaft recently...so I called last week and talked with Bryan and thought the slip yoke was going bad and he told me if he had to repair it he'd have to order parts and it could take a week...so I'm preparing myself for a rebuild and some cash comin out of my pocket...so I drop it off this morning, just got off the phone with him and come to find out there is nothing wrong with it...it just needed some grease, so he replaced the fitting so grease would get in it, greased the ujoints and it's only costin me 10 bucks.... I am really impressed and excited that they are an honest company, which I expressed to him, ya know he could of easily rebuilt it just to make a buck and I would of never been the wiser....so if you need drive shaft work or hoses made go thru them, I'm a customer for life!

They are right where 276 hits the north side of downtown.

They made some custom, armored lines for me. You see, Cruiser was going through an extra dumb "chew anything in half phase" and had put my grill out of comission and at the same time got a face full of LP gas. The lines worked great and they were easy to deal with. I'll definitely use them again.

Just so y'all know. there are two businesses. Cline mobile who does drive shafts. And cline company that does hoses. Cline mobile is not owned by the Cline family. I think the employees bout them out. The two companies are right beside each other though. I went to school with Scott Cline. He is a friend of mine.

The division of Cline that does the drive shaft (used to be cline mobile) is now at Edwards rd and Wadehampton blvd in taylors. They are right along the rail road tracks.

Along with drive shafts they also reline brake shoes...should you have an old cruiser that you cant readily get cheap brake shoes for!

FYI their number is the same one as listed for Cline Company. I left several messages for the guy in "automotive" and never got a call back. Finally talked to someone else in "automotive" and he had to ask the guy I left messages for every question I had. Told me he couldn't tell me anything as far as a general quote and that they were backed up 2 or 3 days before they could even look at it. This was after I told them I lived over an hour away and could not just drop by. Needless to say I was not impressed. So, I called up Reed's JY over in Easley and they had me a used driveshaft for $100. fixed my issues and back on the road in a matter of hours, including me driving up there.

I've never had a problem with them. But that being said I'm never in a hurry to get it fixed. Usually takes 3-4 days before I'd get a call. But their work is spot on. I can assure you would have spent way more than 100 with them.

Cool company. They have a huge shop now and just so everyone knows drive shafts for us they look at as side work. Most of their stuff they are doing is massive stuff requiring cranes. Ujoints that probably weigh as much as a cruiser.

Every review I have heard says they are top notch. I just was not impressed by the customer service, especially the lack of giving me a general price quote without me driving over an hour to drop it off. I even said range of $100 or $400. It all worked out and I would use them if I had time to wait.
