Hey all...happy new year.

With the recent polar vortex I noticed my feet were freezing when driving to work...a real bummer man. The heat works, temps change, blower speed changes, can switch from defrost to dash vents, fresh/recirc, etc...just no friggin floor heat.

What the hell is what I am describing called? lol...a diverter valve etc? I trying to search forum but can't figure the word to search for...lol

Any help on where to start figuring this out or even what this problem is even called would be appreciated.

Thanks

Check out this thread. May shed some light. I have read about flappers not working properly, regrease, adjust etc helped distribute air properly.

thanks for the link cargo...flapper sounds better than diverter...lol

There is a diagnostic test that you can do by holding in a couple buttons or something while turning the key. It tests the flapper diversion actuator gizmos and tells you if one’s bad by flashing a code in colored lights. Seriously. I’ll search and report back...

Wonder if its as simple as this...hold recirc while you turn on key..

Thanks...kinda like a POST test on a computer.
