My temp control is on ice cold or steaming hot. I tried the cleaning of the temp sensor, hooked the white hose up and then replaced the temp sensor. Disconnected the battery, whole nine yards. Nothing changes the result. AC is same - hot or not.

Is there a second sensor or what else do I need to look for? Love the LX, drives much better than my wife’s GX460. Would like climate control to work though.

I’ve tried to search these forums and nothing seems to ask the same question.

Before digging into the electrical components, I would try and inspect the blend door that routes air through the heater core.

It could just be that it needs lubrication and can’t smoothly operate in between cold and hot.

Confirm with a search on here but I believe you can see it under the passenger footwell - maybe remove the glovebox.

Thanks - will try that shortly. It just turned 73k miles and was lightly used. The passenger’s side door lock stuck at first but has since relaxed and now works fine. I’ll def get to looking at the blend door today.

Make sure antifreeze is topped up as well. I had something like this going on with mine recently, and since topping up haven’t had this situation come back. No idea if my problem is fully fixed, but it can’t hurt. I used pink coolant, 50:50 mix, and ended up adding maybe 1/8th gallon.
