Chrome tailgate panel question (1 Viewer)

the chrome panel on the tailgate that says "land cruiser", how is that secured? anyone know how to take it off?

@Brett19648 I cant answer your question- but here's my line of thought... Look for posts that required the relocation of the rear camera, especially with the swingout style ARB bumpers. A lot of those posts show the rear hatch with panels removed. You might be able to tell from those pics if they clip in, screw in, etc.

the clips referenced just pop when something is used to pry behind them?

Appears to be. Looks to be just like the clips for the interior panels. A set of plastic trim pullers from an auto parts store would be idea along with a few layers of painter's tape as mentioned.

If you run in that gummy tape stuff they use for other items...using a heat gun and heavy fishing line works well.
Warm it up...(don't super-heat, of course) and then pull the line under, back and forth, etc. Works a charm.
