They have two diferent sets, One set says it covers sizes 11r-22.5, 285/75-22.5, 295/75-22.5, 275/80-24.5 the rim sizes are bigger but i think that will just make them longer (can shorten...) the other sets cover 12.00-r20, 11.00- r22.5, 315/80r22.5, 315/75r24.5. I am gonna break mine out the bag tomorrow and do some test fitting. I will post my findings. I really dont know much about chains but, for a 100$ if they get me out of a situation or prevent a situation, money well spent . And i am waiting on santa to bring me my lockers:bounce::bounce2::clap:

I had a great time today in rainbowfalls thanks Chuck, Luke,& MIke. Lesson learned today LOCKERS, LOCKERS.......

My 2 cents...
I did the 40's only run with Rising Sun club this year, we would not have gone up Mt Wise if the trail leader did not put on chains (that someone else brought) to punch through the snow, then I got stuck going up without chains, he came down and pulled me out with the chains on. I'm a believer in chains, they get you where you need to go, and when you need them for traction for getting others out, I would think being prepared is really what we are talking about here, when in doubt whip them out .

Well, I have a set for the front or back I need another set to make them sing while I'm driving, if I can get them for $45 I would be very  happy...just tell me where to give my money and where I need to bring the beer, to get them cut to size...thank you much..:grinpimp:

Need them to fit 33X12.5X15

Oh also....I don't have a CB since I am a Ham Radio Op, will there be someone there with dual radios for relay?

I think that the main point of the Christmas tree cutting weekend is to pull people out that are stuck. The times that we needed to pull out someone from a ditch or up a hill it was too slippery for them in whatever they were driving. You will be pulling the weight of two trucks up a hill. Do you need chains to go on the run - no. Do you need chains to pull two trucks up a hill - yes. We need to have people that can help patrol the roads and help get stuck vehicles out to where they can travel on their own. If it gets a lot of snowfall and there are 2 and 3 foot drifts, your unchained truck may end up on the other end of a strap. Chains are a tool to be used when they are needed, just like your high lift jack. It is better to buy them and not need them, than need them and wish that you had bought them.

Luke. What is with the chains on the rear. You put chains on the front so you can stop and steer.

I had to cut down a couple sets of chains this weekend. Amazing how fast this can be done with a plasma cutter!

I have rarely used chains in the past. I moved to Colorado from Minnesota and rarely used chains in Minnesota. I am however ready to get myself into extra deep trouble now with chains to fit the front and rear of my 37"s. I better make sure I have a good shovel now.

My main reason for getting chains is to pull out other people since I don't seem to get myself stuck.

Now that I have said that you know what's going to happen next.

That's funny because everyone kept asking me why I had them on the front last year. It just depends on the use, I have chains for all four tires.

I was running them on the rear this day because rainbow falls has a lot of uphill /downhill areas and you get better traction from the rear going up, and it keeps you from swapping ends coming down. I would normally have them on the front in a higher speed, road situation. :p

I went to MHC today, they said they did not have anything that would fit my 33" they said the biggest they had was 22", I thought they were truck chains...if I am correct semi tires are taller than my 33". Are they blowing smoke up my ?

FJ005 , Who did you talk to down there? Rob, Matt, or Marcus? There is a pallet of chain on the floor when you walk into the parts dept. those are the ons i got. Havent fit them yet maybe tomorrow.

David,

The better half really wants to do all 4 days, so you can add us on the 12th and 13th.

She even picked up a couple sets of cluster hooks just in case.

I'm working on getting a contingency from the north for Saturday the 12th... what time do you meet in Woodland Park again? And is there a better route for us to take other than 25 to 24?

and at the end of the day we cut one of our own right?

Uh-oh,

the Wife and my mom picked out a new dog from the Humane Society over Thanksgiving weekend, and I have to go with her to pick him up in Loveland this Friday. So, I won't be able to make Saturday the 5th.

Should have watched them more closely instead of wheeling with my brother in the Ironclads!

I'm going to have to bow out for 12/5. Had shoulder surgery a while back. Thought it would be healed enough by now, but the Doc says no. Maybe next weekend.

I plan to be up on the 6th with the kids. How much snow do you have up there? Worth bringing the sleds?
