Jim is probably stealing something here. Or maybe he's swapping his empty beer for Johnny's full one?

DAMN! BUSTED!!

Just checking out the bottle of Sailor Jerry.

I want to thank each and every one of you for making my dad feel like he was already part of the ONSC family. He was astonished at how family-like we are. He knows absolutely nothing about land cruisers or off roading yet he still purchased a membership because he liked you all so much! He said his next task is to get mom out there for a weekend!

Thanks momma Monk for cleaning my bacon mess!

sorry we had to bail early but we had a great time again...many thanks to everyone who makes ONSC so great, thanks for the great food, great friends and great times...merry Christmas y'all

I'm so glad I was able to make it up Saturday afternoon. It was not looking good until the night before. I would have hated having to go another 3 months without seeing all you folks.

This year's Dirty Santa gift exchange was the biggest I've seen yet in this club. @FJ Junkie might have the actual numbers on that. Lots of REALLY cool stuff changed hands and it was fun watching @forrest5000 be the only one who had to open any of the 'joke' gifts. Ha! Rumor has it that one member had to resort to acquiring his participating gift from items his kid had brought along... I hope it has since been replaced, JC.

By the way @TailsWCU , after stealing the only ONSC-branded gift item, you had best be on time with your membership renewal next month. But a big thanks definitely goes out to you and Michelle for making the long journey to the barn. Actually, there were MANY SC residents to thank for coming all that way.

Other happenings: Firewood production line, URE workday, lots of food, Buddy Heater borrowing, emergency medical services, dog rodeo (well, it seemed like it at times), tall tales, new members, so much more. I heard that @77 KROOZER s better half even tried an adult beverage. Wheeling was not the focus of this event but it was nice that many of us got to get in a trail or two before URE closes for winter next week.

Also, this year's Apple Pie Fest actually referred to real apple pie! Didn't see that one coming.

Thanks go out to everyone who attended because you all did something to make this event happen. Food, clean up, firewood, medical, fire tending, child watching, new guy wrangling, etc. I don't think anybody just showed up and sat around. Even @southerncruiser62 s 3-yr old was helping with firewood on Sunday. Kenny and Lydia once again deserve the biggest thanks for opening their property to ONSC and being such cordial hosts. Thank you for that, @alk747triodad.

I forgot to hang this sign before we left yesterday...

Thanks for all the help on the trails on Saturday. It will be one of the last times vehicles will be on that trail. One more time in January will most likely be the last.

Thanks again everyone. Sorry I had to leave the party early but Robin did pass her CCW Sunday .

Sadly, @JohnVee it has not.
I was rolling the dice, that the boys would forget about them (as they have for the past several trips) until I could get back to the Outpost.
I crapped out on that bet and, to pour some salt in poor Aaron's wound, the Outpost sold the last two that morning.

So my "ONSC Father of the Year" actions now include:
1) Seamus alone in the tent screaming into the darkenss at LR - thanks @angerhater
2) Theft of Aaron's toy for Dirty Santa at Xmass party

Since they're twins, I try my best to keep things fair and equal as possible. That includes the emotional scarring.

For some reason these kids still love me and actually WANT to attend these events.

Oh well, on to the Amazon the rectify my latest parental failure.

Hahaha.

For the record, last night dad said "I really want to go to the meet and greet, and hopefully I can get mom to tag along for a night." He really had an awesome time, which suprised me. I was worried he would get bored while I ran from group to group telling lies and talking about rigs. He told me every single person he talked to without me welcomed him with open arms. Some even had good things to say about me. Thanks for that.

You all will see him again since he is now the only member who doesn't know the difference between a 40 and an 80.

Your dad seems like a good guy Ryan. Heather had a fine time conversing with him, both using their finest perspective New England accents. How your father was accepted into the fold is just another in a long line of examples of how this club is "family". I stand back at times during events and just watch how our eclectic family interacts, always with a smile. Amazing that love of a vehicle brought all these people together.

Missed you Al

It's always good to run into another Mass hole down here dropping his ahs (rs for the rest of you).

Stanley Medical Center misdiagnosed my broken arm. The end of my radius is crushed and my ulna is fractured. I am scheduled for surgery on Friday to have a titanium plate installed. Full recovery will take three to four months. I'll be ready to split wood at the meet and greet.

Can't Johnny weld something up? I'm having him make me an iron lung, just as a precaution.

I guess it's time to revisit my Gray's book. I couldn't remember ulna.

Surgery is never fun :( I bet you're glad that you went to go have it re-evaluated though.

Keep us posted brother

I hate, hate, hate that I missed one of my favorite events of the year, but being in disney..I somehow survived.
