Geeez…”hey, while I have a minute over break, I’ll cut out a few of the rusty spots and weld in new metal…” a few days later…🤨 I need to paint this and have it back together in a week or so..ahhhhh!!!

Yes, 1965
Nice. I did a bunch of work on a friend’s Herald years ago. Cool car and first time driving a right handed steering wheel. Not as weird as I expected it to be.

Thanks. The centered gauge cluster is what hooked me on it. And the exhaust sound is so sweet.

Hood, doors, new fenders are sanded, primed, sanded, and ready to paint. Roof had a dent where the fiberglass was damaged..refiberglassed the inside of the roof and put weight on the dent until it cures. Figure that’ll help out the strength of the roof structure..new headliner waiting to go in, too..
Next up, bib, aprons, and windshield surround..then weld in final patch and prep the tub for prime and paint..😬🫣

You work fast. Looking good.

Well, Christmas break turned into a bunch of work on the 40! I managed to glass out repaint the whole thing..not show quality, but still pretty damn nice. New window and door gaskets all around..cleaned up and redid a bunch of stuff.

Oh yeah, also fixed the roof..it must’ve gotten hit with something a while back, so I added a few layers of fiberglass to the inside before the new headliner..nice and strong now!

@Ziffdaddy Incredibly nice....and you are making me question my pending paint color selection! I didn't spot whether you said this or not....

What paint manufacturer / brand did you use for that rustic green....and is that single stage or does it have a clear coat on top?

Thanks! It’s just a Nason single stage. It laid down really well, though.
